Sustainability

More Than Moving Goods

Global Transportation & Logistics is a Sri Lankan 3PL and supply-chain solutions provider, operating an integrated logistics ecosystem from Global Park.

Our approach

Four commitments we can evidence

We publish what we measure, with the reporting year and the comparison period attached. Where we do not yet have reliable data, we say so.

  1. 01

    Environmental responsibility

Reducing the measured footprint of our facilities and vehicle movements year on year.

  2. 02

    Operational efficiency

Better container utilisation and fewer empty runs — the largest lever we control.

  3. 03

    People and safety

A safe, fair workplace with training and progression for every employee.

  4. 04

    Responsible partnerships

Working with suppliers and customers who hold comparable standards.

Our philosophy

Every figure carries its year and its baseline

Our approach

A building designed to use less

Global Park was specified with efficiency in mind. Daylight, insulation and smart lighting cut the energy needed to run a facility of this scale before any offsetting is considered.

  • Daylight-first design across storage halls
  • Motion-sensing LED lighting throughout
  • Roof-mounted solar generation
  • Insulated envelope reducing cooling load
  • Rainwater harvesting for non-potable use
  • Layout that minimises internal vehicle movement
Environmental initiatives

Where the effort actually goes

We publish what we measure, with the reporting year and the comparison period attached. Where we do not yet have reliable data, we say so.

  • Energy management

Consumption metered by zone so effort targets the largest loads first.

  • Waste reduction

Single-use packaging cut and waste segregated at the point it is created.

  • Colour-coded recycling bins beside stacked pallets in a warehouse
  • Responsible materials

Reusable and recyclable packaging used in value-added services.

  • Fleet efficiency

Route planning, load optimisation and phased low-emission vehicle trials.

  • Consolidation

Combining cargo improves container fill and removes unnecessary trips.

  • Recycling

Cardboard, plastic wrap and pallet recovery streams operating at all sites.

  • Electric delivery van charging outside a GTL facility
People & Workplace

  • Employee safety

Documented procedures, PPE and regular drills across every zone.

  • Training

Equipment certification and continuous operational skills development.

  • Well-being

Health support, rest facilities and fair shift scheduling.

  • Equal opportunity

Merit-based recruitment and progression for every team member.
